Arianna’s Awesome Walk
First let me send a big sloppy hug and kiss to all of you who supported me and all my Angel friends as we walked for Angelman Syndrome this past Saturday. We chose to go ala Canada and walk in Montreal with Maggie, Simon, Arianne, Luca, Emma and tons of supporters! We had a blast, although it was raining and cold (of course I didn’t mind, the colder and wetter the better) somehow my parents kept wanting me to be covered up and stuff, whatever! The thing I like best about going on long trips is that I get free in flight movies and all the snacks I can eat! Can we do this every weekend? We got to stay at this really fun hotel, Maggie and her parents were there too! We got to hang out and eat and play. Since it was raining that made us tired real fast so we couldn’t go out and see the sights, but momma promised we’d come back and see all of Montreal. We did notice there was a starbucks on every block (good thing, cuz I pulled a lot of sleepless midnight hours). Checkout the new photo album called Montreal Road Trip.
Shouting out to Philly Gals: Aunties Jeannie, Rissa, & Cathy. Thanks for walking for me in Philly. Hope you had a little better weather! Send us pics to link to the blog..
Thanks to Bubbe who walked in Jacksonville Fla! I heard it was 98 degrees there, way too hot for me, I hope the other Angels there had air conditioners in their strollers!
More thanks going out to Nana, who kept me out of trouble all weekend! And a special thanks to the Canadian folks who helped us get to Montreal and understand the way of the French Canadian! Sohpie, Paul, Christine, Jason, Isabelle, Mario, Erin, Rob, and the kids (Luca, Emma, Megan, Sydney, Arianne, Marilou, & Maggie) We can’t wait to visit again!
You can still contribute to our walk a thon website, it will be active til July (in case you haven’t had a chance or you know someone who did not get the word.)
Coming up this week… we travel to Cleeeeveland to see Auntie Melissa and watch her pretty sister Lizzie get married to a really cool guy (Ricky). We also get to see the rest of the Somrack clan and their way neato el pacas. Yippeee another road trip, more movies and snacks!
We were successful in getting a state recognition of Angelman Syndrome Awareness day for last Saturday during the walk. Momma got a call from Gov Pataki’s office as we were driving to Montreal. We will be getting an official copy of the proclamation soon!
Pfew, I’m tired. Busy weekend, with a busy week ahead of us… have to rest up so I can pull the all nighters again this weekend! Love one another and snuggle up it’s a chilly one today. Happy Monday!- Arianna

So for mother’s day, I created a scrapbook for momma. You can see it at: http://www.onetruemedia.com/shared?p=6b697a8500b137930fbf5 . On mother’s day I decided to get up bright and early (3am) and make mamma breakfast. Actually daddy got up with me and made me breakfast, but who’s counting :) We’re off to Motreal this weekend and we don’t speak a lick of French. Yikes! Guess what… it’s supposed to rain… hmmm a whole bunch of angels walking around a lake in the rain (can you say massive chaos!) yipppeeee. I wanted to thank everyone who has made this walk a success. It has really meant a lot to get your support and advocacy for Angelman Awareness. Please keep talking about it, spread the word. Better yet, spread the smile (it’s infectious). What a great preface to my Awesome Adventure. Onto the first chapter right? Happy mother’s day to all those who do motherly duties in their daily lives (men and women). We do appreciate you! - Nonnie

Papa went to Haaavaaad last weekend so momma and I went to Maggie’s and had a blast. Mag and I shared everything from binks to baths (see the new photo album of us)! I can’t believe she didn’t want all that mac and cheese I was in sheer delight! Mom and I did some retail therapy at the preschool flea market and I got a cool kitchen set (yeah I get to make my own food now- who said plastic fruit doesn’t taste good?). Mom got some gates to keep me away from the wine rack and the front steps… we’ll have to discover how to houdini through them. I went to Aunt Lindsay’s softball game yesterday, that was cool too! Mom says I’m getting a walker this weekend, but I think it’s really a jungle gym on wheels. I can’t wait to see it. T minus 2 weeks til we rock up to Montreal to walk for Angelman Syndrome… we sent out another press release, but somehow the other news in the world is upstaging me and no one has called mom back yet. Summer is fast approaching and I have to get my water game on. Anyone who wants to cool off in our pool (AKA craig park community pool) is always welcome. Lots to do so gotta jet!!! Keep smilin’ - Nonnie
